  • One adult may be accompanied by a child under 7 years old on the same board.
  • Wearing a life jacket is mandatory throughout the activity.

REQUIREMENTS

Sun protection and hydration

During the activity, it is essential to pay special attention to sun protection and hydration. We recommend applying sunscreen before departure, bringing sufficient water and wearing appropriate clothing, such as a technical T-shirt, cap or sunglasses, to protect yourself from prolonged sun exposure and enjoy the experience in complete safety.

General conditions

HIRE AGREEMENT – KAYAK AND PADDLEBOARD

On the one hand, the company Creuers Costa Nord S.L., Tax ID B-16506529, with registered address at Calle del Roser nº 14 (07760 Ciutadella de Menorca), hereinafter referred to as the LESSOR, and on the other hand, the person whose details appear on the attached booking form, hereinafter referred to as the HIRER, both parties acknowledge that they have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement and freely agree as follows:

  • The LESSOR is the legal owner of the kayaks, paddleboards and related equipment offered for hire.
  • The parties formalise this hire agreement, which shall be governed by the following clauses:

1 – Payment and hire period

The HIRER shall pay the applicable hire fee according to the current tariff upon delivery of the equipment. The hired equipment (kayak and/or paddleboard, paddles and any additional requested material) must be returned no later than the agreed return time. Late return will result in the corresponding additional hire charge.

2 – Condition and use of equipment

The HIRER acknowledges that the equipment is in perfect working condition and undertakes to return it in the same condition. The equipment must be used in accordance with basic navigation and safety rules and its intended purpose.

Use of the equipment under the influence of alcohol, narcotics or any substance that may impair physical or mental ability is strictly prohibited.

3 – Liability for damage, loss or theft

By signing this agreement, the HIRER accepts the terms and assumes full responsibility for any damage, malfunction, loss, theft or total or partial destruction of the hired equipment, whether caused by themselves or by third parties authorised by them.

The HIRER undertakes to take appropriate measures to prevent theft or loss. In the event of loss, theft or damage, the following replacement values shall apply:

  • €700 per kayak
  • €300 per paddleboard
  • €50 per paddle
  • €30 per life jacket

The HIRER shall also be responsible for any fines or penalties arising from improper use of the equipment.

4 – Disclaimer of liability

The LESSOR shall not be held liable for any damage or injury caused by the HIRER to third parties or to themselves during the use of the hired equipment.

The person signing this agreement must be over 18 years old and shall be fully responsible for the hired equipment during the entire hire period.

5 – Jurisdiction

Both parties expressly submit to the jurisdiction of the Courts of Ciutadella de Menorca for the resolution of any dispute arising from this agreement, expressly waiving any other jurisdiction that may apply.

Acceptance of agreement

The HIRER declares that they have read, understood and accepted all the general hire conditions described herein and on the booking form, and that they are aware of the applicable maritime regulations.

Data Protection Policy

In accordance with current data protection regulations, the client is informed that their personal data will be incorporated into a file owned by Creuers Costa Nord S.L. for the purpose of managing the commercial relationship and the contracted activity. The company undertakes not to transfer such data to third parties except where legally required.

The client may exercise their rights of access, rectification, cancellation and objection by contacting info@menorcanord.com.

Cancel conditions

Once the booking has been made, customer can cancel it up to 24 hours before the reserved time, getting a full refund by the same payment method or requesting a date change.

The company Menorca Nord reserves the right to cancel or modify the booking at any time due to weather conditions.
